Update: Food Service, Guest and Event Submissions Reopened
Greetings Fellow Gamers,
I wanted to give you a short update on developments as we are rapidly closing in on the start of Gary Con XIV! In cooperation with the management of the Grand Geneva we decided to implement changes to some Gary Con traditions. We are suspending GM Concierge and tableside food service this year due to ongoing coronavirus concerns. There will be snacks available for all of our GMs in the GM Lounge, which is more conveniently located in the Galewood room, and the hotel will have concessions stands where we can all conveniently get food to stay fueled up for our many adventures. Limited eating a small snack and drinking at gaming tables may be allowed as long as you mask up when not actively eating or drinking. This means take a bite or a drink and remask immediately. It is not meant to allow someone to have an open beverage or snack and remain unmasked for an extended time. Thank you all in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
We have added more Guests and sponsors to the website. We are very excited to have so many great artists, designers and industry insiders attend GC once again. And the outstanding support we get from our generous sponsors helps make Gary Con possible. Thank you to all of our Guests and sponsors. We are still adding Virtual Guests, Sponsors and events! If you can’t make it to Lake Geneva you can still attend in ethereal form. Go to play.garycon.com to get your badge and submit your favorite events. And for those of you who ARE coming to Lake Geneva to celebrate, but may have delayed submitting your events before the end of last year- we have reopened submissions for a limited time. Its last call for events- so don’t delay.
I am very excited and happy to for Gary Con XIV. Its going to be loads of fun and I hope to see you there!
Wishing all of you an amazing Gary Con experience. Kim and I love this con above all others we have ever attended and wish we could be there in person. That said, we will most assuredly be there in spirit.
Am I to understand that masks will be required everywhere at GaryCon this year?
At this point in time the answer is yes, other than designated spaces for dining. If health guidance changes we will adjust accordingly.
Is there an FAQ for first timers to Garycon and the Area?
https://garycon.com/gary-con-whats-happening/ This is a good starting point. The FB Group and Discord are also helpful.
