Curtis, Michael

July 25, 2015 Off By Jenny Meara

Michael Curtis was raised by wolves, married to the sea, and writes like a madman. An exile from the halls of Academia and a veteran of the Psychic Wars, he started writing role-playing material to pay his passage to the Offworld Colonies.

Unfortunately, he remains Earth-bound. Since becoming a professional game designer and writer, Michael has written several iconic Dungeon Crawl Classic adventures including Frozen in Time, In the Court of Chaos, The Queen of Elfland’s Son, and Imprisoned in the God-Skull. He is also the creator of the Shudder Mountain campaign setting and its premiere adventure, The Chained Coffin. Michael is currently serving as lead writer for DCC Lankhmar and can be found sharing drinks with Mingols, houris, and alley-bashers at the Silver Eel when not on a deadline.

When not in Lankhmar, he also contributes to the Original Adventures Reincarnated line of classic Dungeons & Dragons adventures renewed for fifth edition, including Expedition to the Barrier Peaks and a forthcoming title yet to be announced. He lives in Suffolk County, NY, with the requisite number of books and cats to maintain his writer status. Michael’s occasional ramblings can be seen online at shiverandshudders.com.
