Gary Con is an avid supporter of all aspects of gaming–from the industry to the culture. People, particularly those of the press, are encouraged to attend our convention and share their experience with their audiences. Those wishing to attend for solely press/reporting purposes may request a Press Badge. Press Badges will only offer a limited experience, as you will not be able to signup for events (it is parallel to that of a Spectator Badge).
Pre-approved Press Badges can be picked up from the Registration/Help Desk during regular operating hours. We will do not issue Press Badges onsite without appropriate and recognizable news media credentials and identification.
Press credentials will be considered from:
- Daily newspapers and wire/news services
- Hobby/game publications
- Recognized hobby/game internet news sites that update news content regularly
- National radio/TV networks
- Local radio/TV stations
- Bloggers and/or independent digital media persons
To pick up your Press Badge at our Registration/Help Desk, you must be able to present the following (as needed):
- Business card (physical/digital) with company name, name, and title
- Photo ID with full legal name
- A copy (physical/digital) of Press Badge confirmation
