Rose Estes

In 1977 Rose Estes became the 13th employee of a small company in a small town in Wisconsin called TSR Hobbies. She thought of it as a temporary position until she found another job as a journalist. But things kept happening and time passed. Choices were made and the temporary position became permanent. After a time Rose began writing the series that would become known as The Endless Quest multiple choice books. At last count they have sold more than 21 million copies worldwide and translated into many languages. She has also written numerous novels and three books of non fiction. She is currently at work on her 41st book, titled “Different.”
Rose has four children, Daniel, Lydia, Max and Myles, all of whom have appeared in her books. She has lived in numerous places from the mountains of British Columbia to the beaches of Western Mexico. She now makes her home on the Central Oregon Coast. She owns a gallery in the misty and magical town of Seal Rock, The Hauser Gallery’s Dragon Emporium.
In 2022 she had the great honor of being inducted into the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design Hall of Fame. At the time she was one of only five women inductees and 72 men. And one of only two women writers, sharing that honor with Margaret Weiss.
